About Tina

Learning the Technique helped me to become more aware of how my physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing are so intricately connected. During my Teacher training, I discovered how breathing consciously helped me to relax and come into my body instead of living in my head all of the time. Up until then, I would say that I always felt an underlying anxiousness and this caused me to shallow breathe and hold tension in my body without even realising it. Practising the Technique has increased my resilience, energy and zest for life.

Before coming to the Technique in 2001, I worked in the Corporate world for 15 years and was a complete stress junkie! After qualifying as an Alexander Technique teacher in 2004 and setting up a successful practice in Waterford, my healing journey led me to train as a Mindfulness and Yoga teacher and a Biodynamic Cranio-sacral therapist. From 2012 to 2015, I taught on the Alexander Technique Teacher Training course in Galway with Richard Brennan. In 2019, I completed a Diploma in Pre and Perinatal Psychology at the NAOS Institute in London and am fascinated at how patterns that we develop during our first 1000 days shape us in our lives. Training with Peter Levine and Babette Rothchild and learning the science behind trauma has transformed my approach to healing. I love to resource myself by spending time in nature and as an EFTI trained Forest Bathing guide, I love to bring groups on guided forest walks. In my spare time, I am an avid sea swimmer and golfer.

I teach individuals and groups in person and online as well as offering Corporate Wellness programmes and webinars. I provide a safe space for students to learn how to improve their physical, psychological and emotional well-being – supporting them to negotiate change and live life to their full potential unhindered by low energy, anxiety, chronic pain or recurring physical issues.
